We are a group of photography nerds at ETH and University of Zurich. Our primary goal is to provide a place where likeminded people can meet and speak about various photography topics.

Fotokommission maintains a pool of photographers who run courses, photograph VSETH events and carry out specific assignments for the Polykum.
Membership of the pool is very attractive for students with a passion for photography:
- Free use of professional photographic equipment
- Free courses from the photography commission
- Free and exclusive further training
- Professional support for individual development
- Valuable practical experience at events
- Collaboration with Polykum (reprint with attribution)
- Wages as a course instructor
All assignments and courses are voluntary. They are presented to the pool and whoever has the time and inclination takes on the assignment. We expect 2-3 assignments or courses per semester as a minimum

- How much time you have per semester for assignments and how long you would like to stay in the pool
- How much knowledge you have, what experience you have already gained
- In which direction you would like to develop your photographic know-how
Please don’t be shy, the aim of the commission is for students to acquire photographic knowledge. So it is definitely not a requirement that you are already a professional.

IMPORTANT: All applicants are always invited to an informal interview in the first two weeks of the semester. However, if you are not sure about joining Fotokommission, you are welcome to come to
one of our internal events (Print&Beer, …) during the semester. Just send an email to
